Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/2 cups fine cornmeal
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp + 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 tsp vanilla


Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F


Mix corn meal and milk in a large bowl. Set aside


Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a small bowl until blended


Add eggs, oil and vanilla to the cornmeal mixture. Blend well. Add flour mixture and stir until well combined.


Pour batter into a greased 12 x 12 baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until bread is springy and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
