SWEET DINNER ROLLS

 

  • Cooking Time: 10-15 min
  • Servings: 16 rolls
  • Preparation Time: 20 min

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 t yeast (or 1 packet)
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c warmed milk
  • 1/2 c warm water
  • extra butter for spreading on dough

Directions

  • In mixer add 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt, yeast, butter and egg.
  • mix for about 30 seconds
  • slowly add milk and water and mix about a minute
  • add remaining flour a 1/2 cup at a time until dough sticks to hook and cleans bowl let mix about 30 sec in between
  • mix about 2 minutes
  • cover bowl and let rise about 20 minutes
  • divide dough in half and roll out on floured surface to a 12 inch circle
  • use pastry or pizza wheel to cut wedges then roll
  • place on baking sheet cover and let rise about an hour
  • bake at 400 degrees for about 10-15 min
  • freeze or serve warm
