SWISS STEAK AND POTATOES

Ingredients

  • 1 (141/2 oz) can stewed, sliced tomatoes, not drained
  • 1 (12 oz) jar fat free beef flavored gravy
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 lb bag fresh mini carrots
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 1 lbd eye of round, cut into 1/2 inch thick steaks
  • 4 medium potatoes, washed

Directions

  • Spray a slow cooker with non fat cooking spray
  • In a large bowl combine the tomatoes, gravy, thyme, carrots and onions together until well mixed
  • Place the meat into the misture, making sure the meat is comletely covered with the sauce
  • Place the potatoes on top
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours. The recipe is completely cooked after cocumented time, however themeal can remain in the slow cooker for up to 1 hour longer with out burning
