Swiss Steak

Ingredients

2 pounds round steak, cut in serving piece
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can mushrooms, drained
1/2 medium green pepper, sliced
1 20 ounce can tomatoes, drain, reserve juice
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 tablespoon corn starch


Place round steak pieces in roaster, overlapping pieces as necessary. Sprinkle with soup mix, mushrooms, green pepper and tomatoes. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.



Mix reserved tomato juice, steak sauce and cornstarch. Add enough water to make one cup liquid. Pour over meat. Cover and roast a couple of hours in slow cooker or oven at 350 degrees.



Can also put some chopped carrot over this.
