RECIPE BACKSTORY

I have put off making this recipe for years, thinking it would taste "too fruity." Instead, we enjoyed a pleasant, flavorful turkey breast. I used six pound (bone-in) turkey breast, which sliced perfectly - 15 minutes after removal from the slow cooker. The drippings make delicious gravy, too.

I love turkey but would never make it for just myself. I also love any new ideas using a slow cooker. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Cheers... :)

Hey Dutchmom! I've made this turkey several times, and always loved it. My recipe doesn't call for the cranberry sauce, so I'll have to try this one. We always go to moms for Thanksgiving, and we all divvy up the leftovers, but there's never enough turkey. So now, the day after, I put a turkey boob in the slow cooker and we have Thanksgiving Dinner Part Deux while we get our Christmas decorations out. Thanks for sharing! apronstrings
