THE MERLOT SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Merlot
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan simmer Merlot and cream. When the mixture has reduced to a thick, syrup consistency, stir in butter.
  • Season with salt and pepper and set aside in a warm place.

Notes

A wine based sauce is great with pork medallions.
