- 1 cup Merlot
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a medium saucepan simmer Merlot and cream. When the mixture has reduced to a thick, syrup consistency, stir in butter.
- Season with salt and pepper and set aside in a warm place.
NotesA wine based sauce is great with pork medallions.
