TERIYAKI CHICKEN BOWLS SAUCE

Ingredients

  • Sauce Ingredients:
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup sake
  • 4 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch dissolved in 3 tbsp of water
  • ½ tsp of red pepper flakes

Directions

  • Stir soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar together over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  • Add the red pepper flakes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
