Why I Love This Recipe

We Orthodox are everywhere! From the steppes of Russia to the oil fields of Texas, we all serve our God and pray our Liturgy in our languages. But please explain to Father what Southerners mean when we say "Bless his heart"!

Ingredients You'll Need

8 navel oranges
4 red apples peeled and sliced
fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 C. chopped pecans (I like to buy candied praline flavored)
2 C. crushed pineapple
1 bag of shredded coconut
1 1/2 C. cherries-pitted

Directions

Peel oranges and separate into segments.

Toss apples in 1 T. of lemon juice mixed with 1 T. water to prevent browning. Drain.

Toss all fruit together in large bowl and chill overnight. Serve dusted with powdered sugar if desired. And there you go, shuga!
