Texas Turkey Tumble

Ingredients

1 lb. ground, lean (7% fat) turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 lb. portabella mushrooms, sliced
1 small green pepper
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 can chopped green chilis
4 T. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 lb. sour cream
1 can Rotel tomatoes
8 oz. medium-wide egg noodles, cooked


In a large skillet, brown turkey, onion, mushrooms and green pepper. Add salt and pepper, then chilis. Mix together flour and milk, then add to the skillet mixture and cook until thickened. Add the sour cream, Rotel tomatoes and cooked noodles and stir until all is integrated.

While living in San Antonio, Texas, I made this up out of ingredients I had on hand and it turned out to be a family favorite! It is spicy and creamy...a real comfort food!
