THE BEST FUDGY BROWNIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 stick margarine, room temp
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chocolate glaze:
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons butter

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients about 3 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl often. Lightly spray pan with cooking spray. Spread batter in a 9-by-13-inch pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until done. Cool.
  • Frost with chocolate glaze. To make glaze, melt chocolate and butter over very low heat. Stir and spread over cooled brownies.
