Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tbsp butter, softened
1/2 cup wildflower honey
2 cups bread flour
1 2/3 cups wheat flour
1 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant coffee
1 tsp salt
1 pkg yeast

1/4 cup cornmeal


Directions

Mix the flours, cocoa, coffee and salt in large bowl. Make a depression in the center of the flour mixture. Mix the warm water, sugar, yeast, butter and honey. Add to the center of flour mixture.


Slowly mix the ingredients with a spoon, drawing the dry ingredients into the wet. When combined, knead in bowl for 10 minutes or until smooth.


Set the dough into a covered oiled bowl in a warm place for an hour, to rise.


When the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and divide it into 8 even portions Form into loaves. Sprinkle the entire surface of the loaves with cornmeal and place 4 loaves on each sheet. Cover the cookie sheets with plastic wrap and let the dough rise once more for another hour in a warm location.


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Uncover the dough and bake it for 20-24 minutes in the hot oven. Serve warm with butter. Makes 8 loaves.

These sound really different and I am curious, does the cocoa taste at all or is it for color or some particular flavor, We love wheat bread and I would like to try it. Is it a fluffy or firm bread and can you make rolls and loaf of bread both.
