So last night I realized my wallet was empty and my cupboards were pretty darn bare and the family was whining about how hungry they were. I began looking around the kitchen and came up with this dish that turned out very well to my surprise!

  • Pasta Dish:
  • 1 box Cavatapi (or other pasta shape)
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 3 Tbsp fresh parsely, minced
  • 8 0z block fresh mozarella, shredded
  • 1 jar tomato basil pasta sauce
  • salt
  • Garlic Spread:
  • 4 Tbsp margarine
  • 1-2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • dash salt
  • Dinner Rolls

  • Pasta Dish:
  • Prepare pasta according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, chop parsley and tomatoes.
  • Shred mozarella, set 1/2 of it aside.
  • Drain Pasta, place back in pot, add pasta sauce, tomatoes, parsely and half of the shredded mozarella. Season with salt as desired. Combine until even.
  • Pour into a buttered casserole dish, top with rest of mozarella.
  • Bake at 350F approximately 20 minutes or until desired tenderness.
  • Garlic Spread:
  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Use as butter spread for dinner rolls.
