TOASTED PUMPKIN SEEDS

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 cups pumpkin seeds (yield from 2 medium pumpkins)
  • 2 T melted butter
  • Assorted dried herbs & spices
  • Suggestions:
  • Cumin
  • Garlic powder/salt
  • Chili powder
  • Oregano
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Dashes of Hot Sauce
  • Garlic powder/salt
  • Or go sweet and do Cinnamon and Sugar!

Directions

  • Place in large bowl to mix with melted butter. Add desired herbs and spices to taste.
  • Spread seeds on nonstick jellyroll or cookie sheet (with sides).
  • Bake @ 250 degrees for 45-60 minutes, stirring the seeds around every 15 minutes.

Notes

If you are carving pumpkins today....save the seeds!! This recipe is open to alot of creativity and a great way to use multiple spices in your spice rack.
