1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup rice crispies cereal
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup rolled oats
Preheat oven to 375.
In large bowl mix butter, shortening, eggs, and sugars. Beat for a few minutes on medium speed.
Stir in flour, salt and soda. Mix until well combined.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Roll into 1" balls; put on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart.
Flatten each cookie with a fork (criss-cross).
Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes. Cool for a few minutes on a wire rack; remove cookies to the rack and continue to cool.
