1 pkg german chocolate cake mix with pudding
1/2 Cup margarine (melted)
1 small can evaporated milk (5 oz)
1 14 oz pkg caramels
1 Cup chopped pecans
6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350
Combine cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in bowl; mix well.
Press half the mixture into an ungreased 9 X 13 baking pan.
Bake 6 minutes.
In microwave melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring frequently.
Sprinkle half the pecans and all the chocolate chips oer the baked layer.
Spread with caramel mixture.
Drop remaining dough by spoon fulls over cramel layer.
Sprinkle with remaining pecans.
Bake for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into bars.
