Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
1/2 cup butter -- softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
2 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
3 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with mixer on high speed to mix well.
On low speed, beat in remaining ingredients until blended. Increase speed to high; beat 4 minutes or until smooth and fluffy.
Refrigerate 30 minutes before using.
