Vegan Chili

I got this recipe from my mom who got it from her mom. Since my mom is vegan, though, she altered the recipe a little. This is another super easy and ridiculously delicious vegan recipe.

 


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large can kidney beans
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package Morning Star Farms meat substitute crumbles (frozen)

DIRECTIONS

Ingredients:


1 onion


1 tablespoon oil


1 large can kidney beans


1 large can tomato sauce


1 tablespoon chili powder


¼ teaspoon pepper


1½ teaspoon salt


1 package Morning Star Farms meat substitute crumbles (frozen)


Directions:


Sauté onion in oil. Add kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, pepper, and salt, and simmer for 45 minutes. Add meat substitute crumbles (yes, I realize that sounds pretty disgusting, but I promise it tastes good) and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
