2 TBSP. vegetable oil 3 scallions chopped
2 carrots, peeled and sliced 2 celery stalks, sliced
8 green beans, washed and cut 1 bay leaf
1 can, 15 oz stewed tomatoes 4 cups water
4 beef bullion cubes 1/2 c. alphabet noodles
pepper to taste
Heat oil, add vegetables and bay leaf and stir until scallions get soft (about 10 minutes). Add tomatoes, water, bullion cubes, pepper and noodles. Cover and let heat for 30 minutes. Stir once in a while. Great with oyster crackers sprinkled in bowl to serve.
