Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

1-1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 cup of sliced onion (I must omit)
(use a bit of onion powder/salt)
1 teaspoon salt (I use less)
28 ounces of canned tomatoes
1 large potato, peeled and sliced
1 cup of carrots, sliced thin
1/3 cup of rice, uncooked (regular rice and not the instant)
1 cup of chopped green pepper


Directions

Saute ground beef, onions and peppers until the meat is browned. Drain and add the salt. Spread the potatoes in the bottom of a 2-1/2 quart casserole dish. Add carrots, rice and meat. Pour tomatoes over the ingredients. Cover and bake at 350° for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
