VINEGAR PIE

  • Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Zest of 1 lemon, finely chopped
  • 4 T butter
  • 2 C cold water
  • 6 T flour
  • 10 T cider vinegar
  • unbaked pie shells

Directions

  • Heat oven to 375
  • In a sauce pan cook all the above ingredients until thick
  • Pour into ready made pie shells
  • Bake until set and pie shell turns golden, about 20-30 minutes
  • Use egg whites to make a meringue for the top.
