VINEGAR PIE
Vinegar Pie
An old 'make do' type recipe

- Cooking Time: 30 minutes, about

- Preparation Time: 20 minutes
- 2 c sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- Zest of 1 lemon, finely chopped
- 4 T butter
- 2 C cold water
- 6 T flour
- 10 T cider vinegar
- unbaked pie shells
DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 375
In a sauce pan cook all the above ingredients until thick
Pour into ready made pie shells
Bake until set and pie shell turns golden, about 20-30 minutes
Use egg whites to make a meringue for the top.
