Why I Love This Recipe

A beurre blanc is a lovely butter sauce to master.The reduction of shallots , wine and cream can be made ahead. Just before serving is when the butter is stirred in gently.


Ingredients You'll Need

½ cup White wine
2 Shallots, minced
3 garlic cloves, sliced
2 teaspoons White Champagne Vinegar
2 tablespoons heavy cream
Sea salt to taste
Ground White pepper to taste
4 ounces Sweet butter


Directions

Combine White wine, shallots, garlic and white champagne vinegar over medium heat. Reduce to a light syrup. Add heavy cream and cook until mixture is becomes slightly thick. Strain. Place cream mixture in pan. Season with salt and pepper. If you like, store in small bowl in refrigerator for a few days. Just before serving, add butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, over low heat. Follow instructions for recipe you are using.
