WALNUT FREEZER COOKIES

Walnut Freezer Cookies

Great cookie to make in advance and keep in the freezer until needed. You can use walnuts or pecans.

INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 20
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. finely chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS

Cream butter and sugar together, add eggs. After sifting flour, add Soda and salt. Add flour a little at a time. Batter will be stiff. Add finely walnuts. Roll dough into shape of a log. Wrap with waxed paper and freeze. Take from freezer and slice onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes. Watch to avoid over cooking. Good fast cookie for unexpected company.
