Winter Beef Burgundy Soup

Serves | Prep Time | Cook Time 75 to 80


1 lb. ground beef
2 medium onions chopped
1 clove garlic minced
3 cans beef stock (soup size cans)
3 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
1 C potatoes diced
1 C fresh or frozen green beans
1 C carrots diced
1 C burgundy wine
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper
salt to taste

Using a "dutch oven",saute onion and garlic in 1 tblsp. oil, add ground beef and continue to brown. Then, add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Pairs Well With


This is the easiest and most wonderful "tummy warming" soup for those cold wintery months. Serve with crusty french bread and you have a fabulous meal! I have my sister to thank for this wonderful recipe!
