Yorkshire Pudding

 


INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 15
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of melted butter
  • 1/8 tsp of salt
  • beef or pork drippings or vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS

Sift flour with salt in a large bowl. Hollow out the center, drop in the egg and 1/2 of the liquids (not the drippings or oil). Mix from the center, egg and water first, then add remaining milk, Add the melted butter. Beat very well, preferably with a beater, until smooth and shiny. Place in the fridge for 1 hour.


Pour 1 tsp of drippings or oil into each muffin tin and place into a hot oven (450 degrees) unitl heated. Open the oven door and pull out the rack but leave inside the oven. Carefully with a ladle divide the pudding mix evenly between the muffin tins. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, lower temperature to 425 and bake another 10 - 15 minutes.
