Serves 4 | Prep Time 10 | Cook Time 30-40


1/3 c. water (or beer)
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion (chopped)
1/2 chopped green pepper
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 finely chopped jalepeno pepper (optional)
1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz. can dark red kidney beans
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1 1/2 tsp. ground guajillo pepper (optional)

elbow macaroni (optional)

Cook ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in large saucepan or skillet in water (or beer) until meat starts to brown

Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and remaining spices

Bring to boiling, reduce heat to medium for 20 minutes

Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 2 hours (or as long as available)

Cook macaroni as directed on packaging and mix in if desired.

I love chili, and I just decided to make some simple chili with a few tweaks, and I totally love this recipe!!
