ZACH'S CHILI

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. water (or beer)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 med. onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 chopped green pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 finely chopped jalepeno pepper (optional)
  • 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 16 oz. can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground guajillo pepper (optional)
  • elbow macaroni (optional)

Directions

  • Cook ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in large saucepan or skillet in water (or beer) until meat starts to brown
  • Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and remaining spices
  • Bring to boiling, reduce heat to medium for 20 minutes
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 2 hours (or as long as available)
  • Cook macaroni as directed on packaging and mix in if desired.

I love chili, and I just decided to make some simple chili with a few tweaks, and I totally love this recipe!!
