1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 cake yeast or 1 pkg dry (check expiration date)
4 1/2 c. flour
3 eggs, beaten
Combine: milk, chortening, sugar and salt.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add yeast stir until dissolved.
Add eggs, then flour.
Mix to a smooth soft dough.
Knead lightly and place in greased bowl.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Divide into 3rds and roll into a 9 inch circle, brush with melted butter and cut into 8-10 wedges. roll into crescent shape. brush outside with melted butter, let rise:
At 400º degrees.
