chocolate chip lovecookies

Serves 24-26 cookies | Prep Time 15-20 minutes | Cook Time 14-16 minutes

Ingredients

1/2 cup of rolled oats
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 cup of butter softened (2 sticks)
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of almond flavor (extract)
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
2 eggs
3 1/4 cups of semisweet chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 325*F


Cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.


Place rolled oats in blender/processor and process until finely ground.


Combined ground oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.


In another bowl , creamy butter, sugars, extracts and lemon juice together using a mixer.


Add eggs and beat until fluffy.


Stir the flour mixture into eggs mixture, blend until mixed well.


Add the chocolate chips to the dough and mix well.


Using 1/4 of dough for each cookie, scoop round balls with and ice cream scoop (can be purchased at your local dollar store) and place 2 1/2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.


Bake until cookies are lightly browned 14-16 minutes.


Transfer to wire rack or glassware to cool completely.


Store in a sealed plastic container to keep them fresh soft and chewy.

Recipe came from a wide search of cookies recipes I looked and looked but it wasnt until I tried my own mixtures did I find the gooey delight I love.
