healthy date-nut bread

Ingredients

8 oz. snipped dates
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking pwdr.
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
1/2 c. chopped walnuts


Soak dates in boiling water for 15-20 min.


mix dry ingredients


add vanilla and egg whites to date mixture.


mix wet ingredients w/ dry.


add nuts.


pour into greased loaf pan


bake 350 degrees 45-55 min.
