This recipe comes from an Aunt of mine and I just love them and so easy and can be frozen and brought out at anytime.


  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • one onion finally chopped
  • i garlic glove minced
  • salt and pepper as you like
  • i head of cabbage cored and chopped fine
  • 2 can tomato soup
  • 1/3 can water
  • and one cup cooked rice or more if desired I just use the instant


  • brown ground beef
  • add onions and garlic
  • while meat is browing i chop cabbage and but on to boil till tender
  • make rice
  • when rice is ready add to meat mixture
  • once cabbage is tender drain well
  • mix soup with water and put layer on bottom of cassorel dish
  • then layer of cabbage and layer of meat mixture and continue in that order till all gone pop in oven for 30 min or until bubbling
  • i like to serve with perogies and kobasa and sour cream or just alone with buns or thick sliced french bread enjoy
