Serves 12 | Prep Time 2 to 3 hours | Cook Time 60 min


Pastie crust

6 cups flour
2cups crisco
1tsp salt
1 1/2 cups water

filling ing, 3lbs ground beef
8 cups potatos chopped
2 large onions shredded
2cups rutabegas chopped
3tabs parsey garlic salt
1 tbs pepper

Make pie crust as would for pie, make into balls roll out the size you would like , mix potatos, rutabega ,chopped onion, garlic salt ,pepper. mix well add the ground beef and mix in tell evenly dispersed. roll out dough put 1 to 1-1/2 cups filling in each crust place on parchment paper on cookie sheet and bake 350 for 1 hour. you have no pan clean up with this.

the recipe came from my old boss at the store i worked at.I made many of these.

I had never heard of pasties before, but after seeing your recipe, I realized they are very similar to our Italian version which we call Falagones.
