  • 2 pork chops (1/2-3/4")
  • ginger
  • cayenne
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 4 pods cardamon ground
  • 2 small bay leaf
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 lb brussel sprouts cut in half


  • season pork chops with ginger cayenne and s&p the brown in a skillet
  • remove to a oven proof dish
  • fry the bacon
  • add to the baking dish along with 1 Tbsp of the fat
  • add milk
  • sage
  • bay leaf
  • sugar
  • brussel sprouts
  • bake covered 350 degrees


Spanish pork loin with carmelized milk

This is a work in progress. I am exploring cooking with milk and meat. I would like to try to prevent the milk from separating while cooking.

The first time I tried this the flavor was good but then that might just have been the bacon.
