Why I Love This Recipe

Although you can never really duplicate the real thing, I am constantly working on trying to come up with something close. This one is fairly close and will satisfy the need when you get that craving for some Island Style Grinds


Ingredients You'll Need

3 lb pork butt
1 t liquid smoke
2 T roasted garlic
2 1/4 t Hawaiian red salt


Directions

pierce pork butt all over with carving fork


rub garlic, salt, and liquid smoke into the meat (I use gloves for this)


put in slow cooker on low for 9 hours, then turn and cook for another 9 hours


Remove meat, shred, and add juices from slow cooker back to meat
