tones Green Ginger steak marinade

some years back I was given some very tough steak. Lacking any of my usual marinades I raided the pantry, and the bbq-ed steaks were so tender I immediately wrote the recipe down.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Stones green ginger wine
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons chinese five spice

DIRECTIONS

place all ingredients into a flat bottomed plastic container, mix well. Lay steaks Add steaks in a single layer (4-6, depending on size of your dish)cover and chill in fridge for an hour, Turn the steaks, and replace in fridge for at least another hour. If you can marinade overnight, the steaks are even better.

Where would one find Stone's green ginger wine? We have tons of Asian markets here so if that's it's source it won't be a problem. I've never heard of this wine before, sounds really good. lucas hess
