Apple Cider Float
INGREDIENTS

  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 2 quarts apple cider or juice
  • Ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
  1. In each of eight chilled glasses, place 1/2 cup of ice cream. Add 1 cup of cider or juice to each; sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I found this in Taste of Home, tried it and loved it! It's a great treat anytime, even during a chilly fall. I liked it so much that I convinced my mother-in-law to serve it at her cookie exchange. (I love to drink this out of a fancy glass. It's especially good with homemade ice cream and cider.)
