Apple Crisp

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs cooking apples (peeled and sliced) *I use Granny Smith
  • 2 T water or apple juice
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 1/2 c butter
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Put apples in a shallow 2 quart casserole dish, add water or juice.
  2. 2. Combine sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and flour. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Spoon evenly over apples.
  3. 3. Cover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer.
