- 1 Can Red Kidney Beans
- 3 Strips Bacon, Chopped
- 1 Medium Size Onion Chopped
- 1 Cup Water
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 3 Cups Prepared Rice
DIRECTIONS
- Brown the bacon over a medium heat in a sauce pan.
- Add onion and sauté until lightly browned.
- Add 1 can of beans, water and seasoning.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Stir occasionally until thick sauce is developed.
- Spoon each serving over prepared rice.
- Best served with a fried egg on top.
- Add Italian or French bread, salad and your favorite beverage for a complete meal.
