Banana Nut Bread
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 1hour and 15 minutes
  • Servings: 1 loaf
  • 1cup sugar
  • 1/4 lb butter (1stick)
  • 1tsp.vanilla
  • 3 mashed bananas
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • Glaze:1/3 cup orange juice&1 cup sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream butter&sugar.
  2. add eggs one at a time.
  3. add vanilla
  4. sift dry ingredients together.
  5. add alternately with bananas
  6. let stand 20 minutes
  7. add nuts which have been floured.
  8. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350.
  9. Glaze while hot!
  10. Glaze:Bring to boil juice of 1 orange(1/3 cup)and 1 cup sugar
  11. pour over loaf in pan.
