- 500g strong bread flour
- 10g easy action yeast
- 10g sea salt
- 30g butter
- 300ml hand hot water
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 210C/Gas mk 5
- Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and knead until the dough is smooth and silky and bounces back to the touch.
- Place back in the bowl, cover and leave to rise for 1-2 hours.
- Gently (don't knock all the air out of it) shape and place on a greased baking tray.
- Leave for about 20 minutes to rise, dust with flour, slash the top and bake for 35 minutes.
- Leave to cool for 10 minutes before eating!
- You can use this recipe to make rolls and flatbreads. Replace the butter with 3 tbs olive oil for 4 pizza bases.
