Butter Horns

- 1 cup milk, scalded, set aside to cool
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 pkg yeast
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 tbls sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup nuts, finely ground
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- Sift flour sugar and salt
- Work 1/2 lb butter into flour mixture with fingers
- Add eggs
- Mix yeast and water to dissolve,
- Add yeast, milk and vanilla, knead until smooth
- Make horn shaped cookies
- Brush with melted butter
- Sprinkle with sugar, nuts and cinnamon
- Allow to rise
- Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes
