CINNAMON COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 9 to 11
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, salt and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, cream together the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed until completely incorporated.
  4. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  5. When ready to bake, roll the dough into balls, then roll in a mixture of 1?4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
  6. Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F for 9 to 11 minutes.
