Canadian War Cake

  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 2 cups dark sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup pecans , chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground clove
  • 2 cups hot water
DIRECTIONS
  1. Boil all ingredients 5 minutes. Set aside to cool. Add 2 tsp baking soda dissolved in 2 tbsp. hot water.
  2. Add 3 cups all purpose flour.
  3. Grease Pan.
  4. Bake At 325 degs for 45 minutes
