Chai Tea Cheesecake Brownies
INGREDIENTS
- Bottom Layer:
- 1/4 cup Chai tea Mix (*Unfortunately my local coffeehouse no longer sells it, so I had to buy Tazo’s Chai tea and pass it through a coffee grinder in order to make it into a fine powder. I had to use 10 tea bags.)
- 1 cup butter
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Top Layer:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Flour
- 1 egg
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened.
DIRECTIONS
- PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
- Melt butter and chocolate in double boiler. (*I tend to melt it in the microwave. 30 seconds the first one and 10 seconds more per square. Then I add the butter and nuke it for an additional 30 seconds.)
- For the bottom Layer: Mix the sugar and eggs. Scrap the bowl. Add the chocolate mixture gradually.
- Then Add the flour, salt, Chai mix and vanilla. Mix until it’s well blended.
- Now I fill a 13x9-inch baking pan with the chocolate mixture.
- For the Top Layer: Mix all the ingredients until it’s well blended.
- Pour the top layer and swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes. Allow it to cool and then cut.
