Cheddar Cheese Ball
INGREDIENTS
  • 1.5 lb sharp or extra sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • chopped onion and parsley
  • 2 Tbs. soft butter
  • A dash of Tabasco
  • A Dash of Worchester sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup sherry
  • Chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
  1. Grate cheese into a bowl and then add all ingredients.
  2. Mix very well till completely blended-it will be hard to mix.
  3. Roll/form into a ball and roll in finely chopped pecans.
  4. This recipe makes 2 balls.
  5. You should refigerate the balls after preparing them but taken them out 30 min to 1 hour before serving to soften em up a little.
  6. Serve with Triscuits or similar type cracker.
  7. You can serve it as is on its own as a cheese ball or serve it in a crock.
