Cheese and Macaroni
- 1 cup dry macaroni
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese , grated
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Toasted buttered bread crumbs (optional)
- Cook macaroni according to pkg directions: drain. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, Velveeta and cheddar cheeses and eggs. Fold into cooked macaroni. Spread in buttered 8x8 casserole. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top of casserole.Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
This is the best macaroni and cheese! This came from an elderly lady at church and it's a huge hit wherever I take it. Beware, it is a special treat and if you're watching your calories and fat don't make this. If you want to eat something so comforting you'll be smiling with each bite, then this is for you!
