Cheesecake Cookies

  • 1 pkg cream cheese, soft
  • 1/2 cup Crisco, soft + 3 tsp water
  • 1 cup sugar + extra to sprinkle on top
  • 1 xl egg
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together sugar and cream cheese.
  3. Gradually beat in crisco at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  5. Whisk together baking powder and flour in a small bowl
  6. mixing by hand or at low speed, add to cream cheese mixture.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes, until the bottom edge just barely turns brown.
  9. sprinkle tops with sugar

my sister spoiled me rotten at Christmas with her homemade cheesecake cookies, so this recipe was passed down to me and i tweaked to my standards. my mom keeps it hush hush that she likes mine better lol. Makes about 2-3 dozen. depending on the size you make them
