Chicken Noodle Soup
INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound chicken
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 8 cups chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 zucchini squash
  • 1 yellow squash
  • 6 ounces egg noodles
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon seasoning mix like Mrs. Dash
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cut the chicken, onion, carrots, and celery into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Boil the water and chicken broth in a large pot, then reduce to medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken, onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and let cook for 7 minutes.
  4. Then add the zucchini, yellow squash, and noodles and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash or other spice mixture.
