Chocolate-Buttermilk Frosting

  • Servings: Covers 1 cake
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a saucepan combine the first 3 ingredients and bring to boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  3. Beat until smooth.
  4. Pour over warm cake.
