Chocolate Easter Bunny

  • If you don’t have a bunny mold then you can pick them up at a local craft store. Make sure you have a mold for both sides of the bunny.
DIRECTIONS
  1. Melt the chocolate according to directions; microwaves do work but a double boiler always provides a more even melt with less burning.
  2. Carefully pour chocolate into both halves of the mold. Tip the mold to get an even coat in all of the little details of the bunny’s features. Let this layer set for a while. Then pour more chocolate inside until you reach the top of the mold. Let them sit for a second or two so when you put both halves together you don’t get an oozing chocolate mess. Clip the molds together and let them set to harden. You can place them in the freezer to speed up the process, and it makes it easier to remove the molds. Use a sharp knife to trim off any excess chocolate.
  3. If you want to fill your chocolate bunnies with jelly beans, then after the first layer of the features has set, pour in a little more chocolate into the bunny with jelly beans. Make sure to get fresh chocolate along the edges, so when pressing the two sides together, you get a seal.
