Crazy Chocolate Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • Crazy Chocolate Cake:
  • 3 C flour
  • 2 C sugar
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 1/3 C cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Sift together then add:
  • 2 C cold water
  • 3/4 C oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • Chocolate Frosting:
  • ½ C oleo
  • ½ C Crisco (I use butter flavored)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 - 2 lb bag powdered sugar
  • 1/3 - ½ C cocoa
  • ½ C milk
DIRECTIONS
  1. Crazy Chocolate Cake:
  2. Mix well, pour into greased & floured 9x13 cake pan & bake 35-40 min at 350 degrees.
  3. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  4. Chocolate Frosting:
  5. Whip, adding the milk a little at a time, until light & fluffy.
  6. Melt 1/4 - ½ C chocolate chips in microwave with a little margarine (½ tsp) (about 15-20 seconds) until you can stir it smooth, then whip into frosting until well blended.
