Cream of Wheat Bread
  • 1 cup uncooked cream of wheat
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • Mix well and add:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cooking oil
  1. Stir gently and do not overbeat. Grease pan and bake 400
  2. degrees until top is golden brown. this is crisp and crunchy.
  3. (better than corn bread)
  4. Note: I've made in muffin tin. It's a great breakfast bread. It kind of tastes like a sugar cookie. Good fresh out of the oven, and yes, kinda like cornbread as far as texture.
